Program as Narrative - POV Resistant to Theaters
“I don’t normally go to the theater. I prefer to watch at home, but there are always so many exciting things going on at this theater. I just ran into my friend at the cafe. He was getting something to eat and drink before he starts filming his short today. He told me to look out another one of his short films that is screening before the previews. The film center shows short films instead of advertisements. In a few weeks the outdoor screen will open up. The view from the roof is amazing. They use the roof as a production area during the day but there is public access in the evening. The acoustics in the theater are fantastic. And the space is really comfortable. It really is better to watch a film larger the way it was intended to be shown, instead of on my television or laptop at home.”
